Welcome To My Teacher Page

This is my third year teaching History at Foshay Learning Center. This year,I am very proud to be a part of the AP African American Studies Pilot Program. My commitment to teaching stems from my understanding that informed individuals are more likely to be engaged and active citizens. As a teacher, I aspire to create a learning environment that fosters knowledge. My ultimate goal is to encourage students to fulfill their civic responsibilities. History is often underappreciated and students sometimes feel as though the materials covered are not relevant to their lives. For that reason, I am dedicated to making connections of what has happened in the past to what is happening today to help students gain an appreciation for the subject and  understanding of their place in this world. 

As we navigate the school year, let's be patient, productive, and learn with one another. Parents/ Guardians, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Este es mi tercer año enseñando Historia en Foshay Learning Center. Este año, estoy muy orgulloso de ser parte del Programa Piloto de Estudios Afroamericanos AP. Mi compromiso con la enseñanza surge de mi comprensión de que las personas informadas tienen más probabilidades de ser ciudadanos comprometidos y activos. Como docente, aspiro a crear un entorno de aprendizaje que fomente el conocimiento. Mi objetivo final es animar a los estudiantes a cumplir con sus responsabilidades cívicas. A menudo se subestima la historia y los estudiantes a veces sienten que los materiales tratados no son relevantes para sus vidas. Por esa razón, me dedico a establecer conexiones entre lo que sucedió en el pasado y lo que está sucediendo hoy para ayudar a los estudiantes a apreciar el tema y comprender su lugar en este mundo.

Mientras transitamos el año escolar, seamos pacientes, productivos y aprendamos unos con otros. Padres/tutores, no duden en comunicarse si tienen alguna pregunta o inquietud.
