HS Students & Parents: Mark you Calendar. COLLEGE PALOOZA, a gathering of college & career experts, educators, families, and community partners will be taking place at LA TRADE TECH COLLEGE on March 16, 2019, from 8:00am to 2:00pm. See flyer at link (in English and Spanish) for more details.

Foshay MS and HS parents (6th to 12th grade), if you are interested in having your child attend the Saturday Success Academy sessions for Mathematics, please review the application and information attached. Sessions begin at Foshay on February 2, 2019.

Congratulations to the Foshay Boys and Girls Basketball teams for making the playoffs. Our Varsity Boys, coached by Mr. Nick Nathanson, were ranked #10 and our Varsity Girls, coached by Ms. Joanna Miller, were ranked number #12. Playoff game times and dates will be posted soon. (Stahura, 2/8)

HS Students, if you are interested in participating in one of the Spring sports listed below, please pick up a sign-up packet from Mr. Stahura (Athletic Director) in Room H19. All physicals and paperwork need to be in by January 28, 2019.

The School Experience Survey is an annual survey administered in the fall to all LAUSD schools. Survey results provide schools with important feedback from teachers, staff, students and parents. If you have any questions about the School Experience Survey, please send an email to [email protected] or call (213) 241-5600.

The 2018-2019 School Experience Survey window is now open. The window will remain open through Friday, December 7th. Students and staff will take their survey online. Parents have the option of completing either the online survey or the paper survey.

2018-2019 School Experience Survey Links

Interns in grades 10 through 12 work alongside California Science Center staff to inspire science learning in everyone. Their work may entail working with California Science Center guests, community partners, and other groups of learners. Primary responsibility is to deliver and engage in science activities. Other responsibilities may include supervising children, public speaking, and mentoring other students. All teen interns will learn job-related skills as well as life skills.

Qualifications
School Year Program: Must be a currently enrolled high school student in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade with a minimum 2.0 GPA
Summer Program: Must be a currently enrolled high school student in 10th or 11th grade with a minimum 2.0 GPA
Returning applicants (interns) who were previously employed by the California Science Center Foundation are given preference.
Applicants who reside within a one (1) mile radius of the California Science Center are given preference; applicants beyond this radius will be reviewed depending on the amount of applications received.
Ability to follow directions and be a team player. Positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic.
Eagerness to learn, help others learn, and willing to contribute creative ideas
