Students, due to the construction project on campus, the breakfast distribution will change from "Breakfast in the Classroom" to "Grab and Go". Food will no longer be served in the classrooms during the first period of the day. This means that if you desire to eat breakfast at school, you will need to arrive earlier to log in to one of the three distribution carts in order to receive food. Food will begin to be distributed at approximately 7:30am and will end at 7:50am (first bell). If you have any questions, please see Ms. Gonzalez (AP). (Lopez, 10/1)

Students will be given School Calendar survey materials on Sept. 18. Please return completed surveys by Sept. 28. Families can submit on the paper forms or by cell phone, tablet or computer. Look for survey materials for details. (LD Central, 9/22).

Elementary Students, your ID Picture Day will be on Tuesday, September 12th in the Miami Room. Please plan on giving your best smiles on that day! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Mc Coy (AP). (Lopez, 9/12)

Students, please remind your parents that our drop off locations have been altered due to construction of the new building on campus. Please arrive early to avoid getting caught in traffic when being dropped off, or picked up from school. Thank you. (Lopez, 8/31)

Foshay High School students, if you are interested in participating in the open elections for the 2017-2018 ASB Treasurer vacancy, please see Ms. Lopez (AP) during nutrition or lunch. You will need to complete an ASB Candidate application and get two letters of recommendation from teachers in order to apply. The window for applying will close on Wednesday, August 23rd. Qualified applicants will be able to campaign from Thursday, August 24th to Wednesday, August 31st. (Lopez, 8/24)

Middle School and High School Students, your picture day for ID Cards will be on Thursday, August 17th. Students will be brought to the Foshay Theatre by their English teachers only. If you happen to have a Period 3 English class, please plan ahead to take your picture during the student nutrition or lunch period that day. Students may enter the auditorium during nutrition or lunch by showing a copy of their schedule of classes, listing their Period 3 English class. Ximena Salas, 10th grade, won 2nd place out of 2700 students in the NFTE Regional Finals at USC on May 25, 2017. Ximena's prize includes $1000 and an invitation to the NFTE National Competition in New York City, next school year. Congratulations to Ximena on her spirit and entrepreneurial achievement! Teachers, please look out for the Assembly Charts in your mailbox this week. We will be holding Period-by-Period Assemblies for the school on Thursday, May 11th in the Foshay Theatre. Please plan to arrive at the designated time for your class. The assembly should last approximately 30 minutes; please plan accordingly for instruction before you travel to the theatre and return to class following the event. Thank you. (Lopez/Gonzalez, 5/11)
